For hunters
Ever Sip™ for Cold Weather Hunting
Hunting breaks hydration systems differently. You are not generating heat, you are sitting still for hours before dawn, and the standard fix means noise and movement at the worst possible moment.
Sitting still is the hard case
A skier freezes their tube between bursts of activity. A hunter freezes theirs during the main event. In a blind at first light your core is not producing surplus heat and everything on the outside of your pack drifts toward ambient.
The fix that does not fit
Blowing water back into the reservoir after each sip is the standard advice. It makes noise, it involves movement, and it is exactly what you avoid when something might be working toward you.
What Active Heat™ changes
It is passive. Nothing to remember, nothing to do, no movement. The tube is heated through to the bite valve so it cannot plug while you sit, down to −1°F (−18.3°C).
A cold sit
| What to do | |
|---|---|
| Before the sit | Connect the cable; warming a plugged tube takes far longer than keeping one clear |
| Power bank | Inside an insulated layer — an outer pocket at 10°F costs you hours |
| Multi-day | Two smaller banks give redundancy over one large one |
| Other heated gear | Choose a bank with two output ports |
| Minimum temperature | −1°F / −18.3°C |
Common questions
Is it quiet?
There is nothing to operate. Once connected it runs, so there is no blowing back, no fumbling and no movement.
Will my water taste warm?
No. Active Heat™ warms the tube, not the water. Your drink stays cold.
Which power bank do you recommend?
Any 5V USB bank works. For a sit, a 10,000 mAh bank with two output ports covers a full day and leaves a port free for heated gloves or a vest. Here is one we have used and can recommend: Anker 10,000 mAh power bank with USB-C and USB-A output. Keep it inside an insulated layer.
